Our birthplace
Mykonos, the Island of the Winds, as often referred to, has
become a global brand of the tourism industry. Across the world
and among the international ‘haves, this 85 km² rocky island in
the middle of the Cycladic complex has turned into a much
sought after destination for summer vacay and status validation.
As for the aspiring ‘haves’, a stay at Mykonos is often perceived
as a bucket-list destination and a step higher on the social
ladder.
However mythical and extravagant it may seem nowadays, Mykonos, as the rest of Greece, has
had a glorious antiquity and a humble modern past, writing pages filled with struggle, hardship,
